Sunday school is available for children in Preschool (age 3 and 4) through to grade 12 during our 10am service. We also have a nursary program for children under 3.

St Augustines provides quality Christian education in a safe and loving enviornment. We have an enthusiastic and creative team of teachers and helpers who are dedicated to revealing the love and truth of Jesus to their students.

Throughout the year, we have KIDS CHURCH, which is a unique service designed with kids in mind, and includes a praise and worship time, mini sermon, puppets and a craft. Kids church ususally takes place during major holiday weekends.

This fall, we have implemented a new curriculum called DicsipleLand. (visit www.discipleland.com for a closer look) DiscipleLand is a unique and comprehensive Children’s Discipleship System that partners with parents and teachers to help kids:

This program begins in preschool and continues through to high school, each year building on the foundation of knowledge and skills learned previously.

Here is a summary:

DiscipleLand Preschool/Kindergarten launches children ages 2-5 to establish a solid foundation through 200 different Bible stories, beginning in Genesis and ending in Revelation. Topics include: God Made Us, God Knows Us, God Leads us, Jesus Comes to Us, Jesus Amazes Us, and Jesus Lives in Us.

Discover Bible Heroes will inspire kids in grade one to respect and follow amazing Bible heroes. They will discover that Jesus is the special Hero who fulfilled God’s plan to rescue them from sin. They will overview the entire Bible in one year!

Core Bible for kids in grade 2-8 challenges children to become victorious disciples through Bible Training, Skill Achievement, and Life Experience! There are six levels which include:

High School Youth will meet together to grow in Christian Disciplines, discuss sermons, and grow in Christian community. They will also discover ways to use their gifts in the Parish, the wider church and in the world.

Of course, a program is only as effective as those who teach it. At St Augustine's we have an enthusiastic, creative group of teachers who are passionate about discipling kids. It is their desire to be the hands and feet and heart of Jesus as they love and teach children.

You are invited to St. Augustine's, Lethbridge on Sat May 08th from 9am-noon for a presentation of a ccomprehensive Children's Discipleship System known as Discipleland. In Discipleland, kids will grow to know God intimately, to love Him passionately, and to serve Him selflessly, reaching their peak potential as Jesus' disciples. Rom and Lois Ellis, distributors from Lifeline Resources, will be there to explain how this system works. If you are looking for Sunday School curriculum or ideas for mid week programs, or just want to come and meet other teachers and see what is working for them, then please join us. It will be a fun and informative morning for anyone who has a desire to see kids grow in their relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
