St. Augustine's Legacy Program

The Legacy Program has been established to ensure the existence of sustainable support for programs which express the congregation's Christian outreach priorities as well as for future capital building and facilities expenditures.

The program is approved by and administered by St. Augustine's Vestry Committee. Unless otherwise specified, Legacy gifts will be held as an endowment, or capital resource, with expenditures limited to the earned income on the principal.

There are a variety of purposes for which the Legacy Program's resources will be used. You may choose to allocate your gift to any one or more of the available alternatives which are grouped into three broad categories. Fact Sheets exist for each Fund and are available through the Church Office.

A. Long Term Outreach

2. St. Augustine's Food and Shelter Fund

3. St. Augustine's Family Development Fund

4. St. Augustine's General Outreach Fund

B. Capital Building and Renovation

1. St. Augustine's Expansion Fund

2. St. Augustine's Renovation Fund

3. St. Augustine's General Building Fund

C. Memorial Fund

1. Provides an opportunity to remember the life of a loved one or friend.

D. Greater Anglican Church

1. Diocese Extension Fund

2. Diocese Endowment Fund

3. Bishop's Discretionary Fund

4. General Synod

5. Church of the North

6. PWRDF

If the donor is unable to or prefers not to establish an allocation , then the gift will be automatically allocated between three broad categories in the following proportions:

1. St. Augustine's General Outreach Fund - 45%

2. St. Augustine's General Capital Building Fund - 45%

3. Diocese of Calgary General Fund - 10%
