Vacation Bible School

All Aboard!  We are going on a Rocky Railroad VBS Adventure this August 3-6th!

Please visit http://vbspro.events/p/augustinesrockyrailway to sign up as a participant or as a volunteer.

Very soon, St. Augustine’s will be bustling with kids at this year’s Rocky Railway Vacation Bible School, August 3-6. Children aged 3-11 from our community will enjoy Bible stories, games, snacks and learn how “The Power of Jesus Pulls Us Through!”  It is so exciting to be a part of that message making its way into little hearts. And we can really use your help in a few areas:

Snacks Are Needed – having fun takes energy, so we need some snacks! If you can provide any of the following, please contact Wendy at wendy@staug.org or the office to arrange a time for drop off. Prepackaged snacks still needed are:

     - Yogurt tubes
     - Fruit cups
     - Individual crackers and cheese
     - Bear paw cookies
     - GoGo Squeeze Fruit Pouches
     - Juice Boxes
     - Prepackaged rice crispy squares

Volunteer Positions Still Needing to be Filled –  we still need help in the following areas to run a fun, safe and enjoyable VBS program.  Contact Wendy at wendy@staug.org or by calling 403-330-6141 if you have questions.  If you can help by filling one of the following roles, please register as a volunteer at https://vbspro.events/p/augustinesrockyrailway

Crew Leaders (3): This role involves leading a small group of children through the various activity stations each morning. There is no preparation required.  A good crew leader is a friend and helper for the kids and station leaders. This is a fun role for anyone who enjoys hanging out with kids!

Imagination Station (Craft) Leader (1): This role is for a creative crafter out there!  It involves guiding the kids (and their crew leaders) as they make the assigned craft each day, while reinforcing each day’s “Bible Point.”  The daily crafts have already been chosen and supplies are ready to go.

Games Leader (1): This energetic and organized individual leads kids in physical activities and discussions. You don’t need to be an Olympian, you just need to be organized, energetic and okay with getting a little wet.

This Year's Mission Project – each VBS we teach kids about giving in the name of Jesus by focusing on one specific mission project. This year we are assisting the Interfaith Food Bank in collecting school supplies for students in need in Lethbridge and Area. If you would like to donate some school supplies, there will be a drop off bin located in the Church Narthex throughout VBS. Thank you, St. Augustine’s for supporting this important ministry.
