At 7 PM we join Jesus and the disciples in the upper room, remembering the washing of feet, the institution of the Holy Eucharist, and the command to love one another. The service ends with the stark ‘solemn stripping of the altar.’ The liturgy is taken from the Book of Alternative Services. This service begins a series of three services which, liturgically, could be thought of as a single long service – Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Great Vigil of Easter on Saturday night. An activity for children will be provided.
If you cannot attend in person, considering watching via livestream video – the stream goes live at approximately 6:45.
