Beginning in the dim light of the tomb, fire is kindled and an ancient and beautiful liturgy slowly leads us from the darkness of death to the triumph of the resurrection of our Lord. This service is among the most ancient in our tradition moving from quiet solemnity to joyous celebration. Along the way, a baptism and the chance to renew our own baptismal vows. The liturgy is from the Book of Alternative Services. The end of this service marks the end of our Lenten fast. An activity for children will be provided.
