DESCRIPTION:At 7 PM we join Jesus and the disciples in the upper room\, remembering the washing of feet\, the institution of the Holy Eucharist\, and the command to love one another. The service ends with the stark ‘solemn stripping of the altar.’ The liturgy is taken from the Book of Alternative Services. This service begins a series of three services which\, liturgically\, could be thought of as a single long service – Maundy Thursday\, Good Friday\, and the Great Vigil of Easter on Saturday night. SUMMARY:The Great Vigil of Easter
DESCRIPTION:Beginning in the dim light of the tomb\, fire is kindled and an ancient and beautiful liturgy slowly leads us from the darkness of death to the triumph of the resurrection of our Lord. This service is among the most ancient in our tradition moving from quiet solemnity to joyous celebration. Along the way\, a baptism and the chance to renew our own baptismal vows. The liturgy is from the Book of Alternative Services. The end of this service marks the end of our Lenten fast.  An activity for children will be provided. \nIf you cannot attend in person\, considering watching via livestream video.
